Online Giving

This page describes how you can make donations to the church through online banking.

Currently, this service is only available to Credit Union account holders.

In order to use this service, you will need to obtain your personalized Esquimalt Church of the Nazarene account numbers, as follows:

Each account number identifies both you and the ministry to which you wish to donate. To obtain your account numbers, please send a request by email to crlb@telus.net. Once you have your account numbers, you can visit your institution’s banking website, to add each account as a separate bill and make either one time or recurring payments.

The following is an example of creating twelve monthly recurring donations to the church’s building fund. The example uses screen-shots from the Coast Capital Savings Credit Union’s website but similar capabilities will be available at other on-line banking websites.


1. Add a new payee:

Our first task is to add the church account as the recipient of monies and so we need to add a “payee”. This action is accessed through the “Pay Bills -> Add Bills “.






2. Search for the church.

We can search for all the “payees” in Esquimalt.






3. Select the church from the list.

The church is clearly identified and we choose it by clicking on its name.






4. Enter your account number.

Next, we need to identify the account we wish to pay. For this, we refer to the account list email you received from the church. The “Add Bills - Step 3” webpage does not contain a comment field, so, in future interactions, you will need to refer to your email to determine the purpose of each account that you add. In this case we have chosen the “Building Fund” account.






5. Confirm the new payee.

Having pressed the “Submit” button on the “Add Bills - Step 3”, we receive a confirmation of our account, the payee, and the payee account. If we wish to make donations to other ministries, we can repeat steps 1 to 5 for other accounts in our account list email.






6. Access the recurring payment page.

We now return to “Pay Bills”. The default is to make a one time payment but we wish to demonstrate recurring payments and click the “Schedule Recurring Payment” link.





Having pressed the “Submit” button on the “Add Bills - Step 3”, we receive a confirmation of our account, the payee, and the payee account. If we wish to make donations to other ministries, we can repeat steps 1 to 5 for other accounts in our account list email.


7. Enter the recurring payment details.

We can now enter the recurring donation details: paying account, receiving account, amount, start date, frequency and the end date in terms of either the number of payments or a specific date as follows.






C8. Confirm the recurring payment.

When we click the “Continue” button on the “Schedule Recurring Payment” webpage, we receive a confirmation page on which you will need to press the “Confirm” button to complete your transaction. If you wish to make recurring donations to other ministries on your account list, you can repeat steps 6 to 8 for each ministry. If at any time you wish to cancel recurring payments, the website provides facilities for you to do this.
